June Drama Camps Held

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre and the Winder Cultural Arts Center presented a week of Drama Camp from June 22 to 26, 2009 for 60 children of all ages. Drama Camp is free for the children who attend and is paid for by WBCT, the Winder Cultural Arts Center, and several corporate sponsors. Sponsors for this year’s camp were The Peoples Bank, Little Debbie, and Veader State Farm Insurance. Without the help of our sponsors, the camp could not have been held.
Camp Director, Billie Nye-Muller, is the Artistic Director of WBCT, and she was assisted by a number of camp counselors. During camp, the children learned about many features of theatre as well as body movement, costuming, play writing, and acting. At the conclusion of each session of camp the children presented a show for their parents and friends.
